Welcome to Cafe Kriza, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Great Neck, NY. Positioned at 45 Middle Neck Rd, this charming eatery specializes in kosher Middle Eastern cuisine, delivering a delightful dining experience that's both satisfying and celebratory.

Cafe Kriza is not your typical cafe; it’s a spot where every plate tells a story. The menu boasts an enticing array of delicious paninis, appetizers, and salads, thoughtfully crafted to tantalize your taste buds. Each dish reflects the essence of Middle Eastern flavors intertwined with a modern twist.

  • Paninis: These are the stars of the show. Make sure to try the Bulgarian Panini, a delightful combination of Bulgarian cheese, egg, black olives, and pesto that packs a serious punch. The Del Mar Panini is also a crowd favorite, featuring roasted eggplant and a zest of lemon that elevates the entire meal.
  • Appetizers: Start your meal with their signature Hummus, perfectly paired with warm pita bread. If you're feeling adventurous, the Grilled Goat Cheese with arugula and avocado will take you to creamy, savory heaven.
  • Salads: For a lighter option, the Grilled Salmon Salad and the refreshing Greek Salad are must-tries, featuring fresh ingredients that burst with flavor and make for a delightful palate cleanser.

The atmosphere at Cafe Kriza is cozy and welcoming, with a lively ambiance that feels like a hug from an old friend. Customers rave about the friendly service, with many pointing out how making moments special for diners seems a priority for the staff. One customer, Ronnie E., even hosted a birthday lunch here and was thrilled with how the owners went the extra mile to make it memorable.

For those who love to enjoy a variety, I heartily recommend the Spicy Tilapia and the equally celebrated Shakshuka. These dishes not only highlight the versatility of Middle Eastern cuisine but are often praised for their robust flavors.

And don’t forget to cap your meal with a delightful cup of cappuccino, as Eric W. suggests—it’s the perfect way to conclude your culinary journey at Cafe Kriza.

Bomb food, lovely staff, go back on a weekly basis for their Tunisian Panini. Not too many tables but wait is usually OK.

Me and my family came by here for lunch. Place was small and cozy. Menu has many great options. Everything we ordered was delicious. We got the pesto vodka pie, tuscani panini melted cheese panini and soup of the day. We were pleasantly surprised and would definitely come again. Waitstaff could be a little more warm toward their customers but otherwise everything was top notch.

I visited Cafe Kriza with my mom when visiting family in New York. My family raved about this place (probably because its kosher) so we decided to check it out when we got off the train. Upon going in, we realized we probably should have gone to the burger joint across the street but regardless we stayed and tried it out. The place is a little casual and boring for my taste. However, the food and service was surprisingly decent. One of the servers was pretty helpful and tended to our needs. The other server was pretty below average. Bathroom was clean and big. I ordered the tomato and feta omelette. It was clear they put something in the omelette to make it taste the way it did because it was not normal. It was thin. It didn't taste like usual omelettes should but it was still good. The bread was okay. The little side salad was great!! Next time I am in New York I will definitely try somewhere new but it was nice to experience Cafe Kriza once.

This was my first time at Cafe Kriza, and I loved it. It was centrally located in the heart of town, and because it's kosher, it made everyone in my party happy. The service was great, and the wait staff incredibly attentive & warm. We ordered the avocado panini, the Israeli panini with mozzarella, and a hot Sahlab which were all tasty and hit the spot. For the price point, how centrally located it was, and how delicious the meal was, I highly recommend the spot. Plus they were playing Maluma, & nobody will ever understand how much I appreciated that.
